Presentations

I have given many presentations on the History and Mechanics of Bagpiping for a wide variety of audiences.

Clan associations, libraries, and schools have all asked me to give demonstrations and lectures on various aspects of the culture of Bagpiping.

I have spoken to small groups in intimate library settings, as well as gymnasiums full of kids.

 

I've performed at outdoor international festivals, as well as featured speaker engagements at formal dinners.

Demonstrations of any length for any audience, on a variety of Bagpiping topics, can be arranged.

Lessons

I also offer musical instruction to anyone dedicated enough to take up the challenge! I offer 1 hour lessons that rarely finish on time. I have students of all ages and at various levels of acheivement. My students perform well in competition and recieve the fundamentals neccesary to ensure a long and productive Piping experience.

I emphasize control and competence in all of the basic areas of piping technique. For the fingers, its execution. for the mind, its expression and control. For the body its posture and muscle independence. For the instrument, its proper maintenance, tuning, and tone.
